Office containers in the second decade of the XXI century. Past or future?
We all work on computers, laptops, and tablets. More and more professionals are storing most of their documents in so-called clouds and disks. Despite this, office cabinets and shelving are still very often purchased. This is due to the fact that many documents still need to be stored and it is good to do it in an orderly manner, in binders. Office shelves are also often placed at store exhibitions, conference halls, and archives. This product is chosen because of its durability and functionality, especially its depth, which allows you to store even larger items.
However, what is the task of a container in a digitized world?
A small cabinet with drawers, which until recently kept the most urgent folders and documents, such as WZ documents, invoices for issuance, regulations, contracts that we are working on, catalogs.It's just that many employees still use mailboxes that way. The pick-up cabinet is a necessary element of their work ergonomics.
However, there is another reason why it is worth having container under the table. This piece of furniture is often the only personal piece of furniture in the office. Increasingly, we just store our stuff in it. Only at first glance, this seems like a tin case and allows you to think about getting rid of unnecessary costs when setting up an office. An employee who has a bit of their own space at their disposal in the office is more likely to stay in it.
There are two alternatives to office containers.
Small office cabinet with sliding door it can perform the same role. A cabinet with a width of 80 cm or 100 cm and a height of 78 cm, located next to the table, will allow you to store personal items from it even more conveniently than containers. Very often, we recommend this solution to our customers, because the closet can fit much more than just a second pair of shoes, a charger, cosmetics, or a laptop. A deep lockable cabinet is also a full-fledged place for binders. However, such an office piece of furniture requires more space than a small container under the table. A cabinet is best suited when it can stand against a wall. We advise all clients to consider choosing such furniture, if they have the space for it and the right office layout.
The second alternative to a container is the so-called Locks, i.e. cabinets with multiple compartmentsI. kind of like in a locker room, but much more elegant, and if you think about it, this solution has a lot of advantages. Lockers type cabinets are designed for open spece type spaces. Not necessarily huge, but still open. A zippered locker or combination lock is used for storing personal items. This solution is only suitable for companies that operate mostly without securities. There is no place to postpone documents that are currently being worked on. Lockers is only intended for storing personal items. However, if you really work in the cloud, the employee dashboard can provide a neat and clean, elegant office look. In a sense, this also leads to order, because there is no container in which different papers are" quickly " thrown.
